Work Me

Claire Warner, BA (Hons), FRSA, MInstLM, MCIOF, Founder - Purpose Driven People and Charity Wellbeing Summit, Best Digital Leader - Social CEOs 2020

I'm Claire Warner, a former Fundraising Director and Charity Senior Leader, turned Wellbeing and Management Coach & Workplace Culture Consultant.

Welcome to my (new and improved) little corner of the internet covering all things well being, life balance, management expertise and workplace culture for purpose-driven people, with a smattering of non-work Claire and the other members of Team Warner for good measure.

It was a period of my own significant unwellbeing, and the necessary career change that ensued, that introduced me to the detailed of the concepts of personal and workplace wellbeing.

Put wellbeing at the core, of both you and your organisation, and the benefits become a virtuous circle.  Happy people make happy colleagues. Happy colleagues are happier and less stressed at home. Less stress = better focus, concentration, motivation and productivity.  And so the circle goes on

Non-Work Me

embarrassing mum, forgetful wife, fierce ally, netflixer, occasional potty-mouth and soap-box ranter, cancer survivor, poor own-advice taker, squad member and  loyal friend

This is me - the real, at home, selfie-photo, laughter-lined, grey-rooted, stuff in the background, me - Claire Warner - regularly found in a slogan tee or hoodie and much of the time, totally 'winging it'!

I've spent the whole of my 20+ year working career in the For-Good sector.  I've been a practitioner, a manager, a leader; a volunteer, a trustee and a supporter.  And as you've already read, I even experienced life as a beneficiary for a while too.

I was a good Fundraiser.  But I was a GREAT manager and motivator - a million times better!.  This is a fact I avoided and ignored for many years.  It's the fact I now embrace and have built my consultancy career around

I'm married to the long-suffering Mr W and we live with our two daughters, Warner Tall and Warner Small, with Maddie the horse, and Rowan the dog, on the side of the Pennines in Lancashire

My great passions are coffee, blue cheese, music, stand-up comedy, netflix, holidays and Team Warner

In March 2021, I was invited as a guest on The Intersection: candid conversations for social good, with Kimberley MacKenzie, to talk about life and work.

Claire Warner Vision & Mission.png

Vision & Mission

to improve the lives of those who have chosen to devote their careers to doing good in the world, and the organisations they work in and for

by championing Best Not Stressed and the benefits & value of putting wellbeing at their core (individually & organisationally)

and then helping them to do so

Claire Warner Values.png

Values

These six values run through the core of my life as well as underpinning my work

They dictate who I will and won't work with; how I work; how I approach work; what you can expect of me; what I expect of you and where you will see me voice my opinions and help amplify the voices of others

I am a typical WYSIWIG - what you see is what you get - I LOVE work, but I also love to get away from work

I am passionate and compassionate.  I am a bit soap-boxy and a bit sweary,  but it all comes from a place of wanting to do my bit to help those who want to change the world, do it from a well-supported and well-centred place

My values are: nurture | loyalty | passion

| integrity | balance | fun
